Then make a generous offering and request Him to do so soon. In Tibetan Buddhism, teachings are given in response to requests, and requests should be accompanied by offerings exemplifying how much the requester values the teaching.

In other words, don't just wish and hope. Help make it happen.

As I don't have money, my offerings will be in prayers. :)

Well, it would be better if you sent Tulku Dakpa an email. Being passive is a huge mistake in Vajrayana.

I didn't think money was the factor. I bet people would be grateful and offer a lot.

Toenail, you wrote "update". Does that mean you already heard that Rinpoche will give this lung? I tried to find out more about it, but without any success...

I thought of trying to crowdfund sponsorship for an event like this. It seems like a good way to share the opportunity for merit.

A: Very definitely, yes. But this is an ability which very few people have, and fewer and fewer as time passes.

The best offering is the offering of practice.

I borrow the thread a little instead of starting a new one. Where can I find lung teachings? I am interested in Lungs on texts by longchenpa other important dzogchen texts but I cant seem to find events for this purpose. But I hear many people say that you need lung all the time for this and that yet no events :reading:

Hi Bob

Dzongsar Khyentse is giving the lung for Longchenpa's Dzo Dun in New Zealand in November. It is overbooked at the moment but you can go on the waiting list and hope they decide to find a bigger community hall!

New Zealand, not Europe.
"All phenomena of samsara depend on the mind, so when the essence of mind is purified, samsara is purified. Since the phenomena of nirvana depend on the pristine consciousness of vidyā, because one remains in the immediacy of vidyā, buddhahood arises on its own. All critical points are summarized with those two." - Longchenpa

When? I see only references to the New Zealand retreat on his website.
