hello from UK
Hi, i'm Lydia, in my early 30s and from Lancashire UK. I'm fairly new to practicing Buddhism (Mahayana) and i find it has a positive influence in my life already

Hi Lydia!
I'm almost 30, also from Lancashire. Have attending a few centres around but currently go to the Manchester Buddhist Centre, which is associated with Triratna Buddhist Community, though i'm most strongly connected to Tibetan Buddhism/Kagyu. But there isn't so many local teachers. Feel free to get in touch if you had any questions.
Kindly,
Tom

Re: hello from UK
Be very welcome, Lydia. I too am in my early 30's and found Buddhism in the UK while studying there, initially through Theravada and later getting acquainted with Mahayana. Hope you have a fruitful and enjoyable time here.

Hi.
I believe there is a Dechen community centre in Manchester which is kagyu tradition.

Thank's Phil. I tried to send a PM about this but i'm new and it didn't work. Was just going to say i'm aware of the centre but haven't yet been, mostly due to it being 'the other' side of the Kagyu lineage. Maybe that's fine, I don't know. I will ask my friend.philji wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2023 2:16 pm Hi.
