Tinitus

Post by Toenail »

Three months ago I developed a Tinitus. It scared me very much because through my therapy work I met many people that went insane from it. It is scary if there is something that can't be controlled. Now I kind of accept it. It is also very atypical, wandering from one ear to another. I hear it in the mornings the most. I got my ears checked by a specialist and he did many tests but there seemed to be nothing wrong. Any suggestions or input? I tried out Bimala and I changed my lifestyle... It came during a bad breakup time and also I was overworked which I both coped with since... I have more breaks during work for example..

How is it viewed in tibetan medicine? Thankful for any input.

I have it almost constantly and use it as the focus of meditation.

Your brain will acclimate to it in about a year, likely you won’t think about it as much after that. I don’t notice mine at all these days unless I’m in a really unusually quiet environment.

There are programs to retrain your brain to ignore it, but when I looked into it they appeared to just hasten the natural process of your brain blocking it out.

It’s a really common problem, and often there’s no specific explanation.

When I first got it it accompanied a death scare (they thought I might have a brain issue or something due to various other symptoms), so I associated the noise with the anxiety around that, it was a difficult thing to go through, I would have nightmares where everyone talked in tinnitus. Once I found out it was just tinnitus and nothing worse it helped to forget about it.

One thing, Eustachian Tube disorder is associated with it, and some doctors see it as a likely cause (doctor told me this) when there is no indication of hearing loss or damage.

So, if your ears pop all the time and the pressure is never right this might be related. I know there is a corrective surgery for this available in Europe, in the process of being authorized in the US.

I do the valsalva maneuver sometimes to alleviate Eustachian tube issues and it sometimes helps with my tinnitus.

I don't normally do this,
but if you provide your astrological details I will tell you when it came on and when it might pass or at least lessen. I might also be able to provide an astrological remedy for you (this is not a substitute for medical treatment) which can help. All for free. You can pm if you wish.

+1 to all these points.

Hearing aids are sometimes prescribed for tinnitus. They seem to work fairly well if the tinnitus is associated with hearing loss, mainly by making the real sounds around us seem louder in comparison to the tinnitus. Whether they are worth the trouble and expense will be an individual call.

Here is an older thread about it - https://www.dharmawheel.net/viewtopic.php?t=38755

Not a a Tibetan medical opinion, but I find that if I go out into the woods or to a wide open field, the buzzing stops.

The ear is related to the space element. Perhaps that will help you.

My tinitus gets louder when the stress not really reached my conscious mind. It's an instant reminder for relaxation - and I admit it works.
For me there are many reasons to see my Tinitus as an old friend. It sounds like crickets are chirping and the sound shows me, how is my inner shape.

But a hearing aid audiologist once showed me the possibility to suppress the tinitus with a counter sound - thats possible. You neither hear the sound nor the tinitus then. But for me it was disturbing, because I'm so very used to that tinitus. I rather developed confusion and headache from that hearing aid gimmick. I didn't ask for it either.

I don't know how tinitus is seen in the Tibetan medicine.
If I were you, I would start monitoring my BP (blood pressure) in the morning. I would also look at the kidney function (via urine tests - the dr. knows). And have the yearly physical exam done. Then go to the dentist to check teeth, deal with inflammation in the mouth, throat, everywhere.
Maybe it is the sound of solitude, of too much stimuli followed by too little, it's on you to see where it's from.
But I would say that tinitus is like the last warning before I die, before my blood vessels in my brain pop open from stress.
I would wake up and change my lifestyle, change everything.
The thing that it seems to move from one ear to another, some people might say that it's the "kundalini". I won't believe them.
It's lightheadedness and it's a sign of uncontrolled BP.

Reduce stimuli to manageable levels, lead a less stressful life, make healthy choices, turn off the computer!
I hope it helps.

Hi,

This post contain "alternative medicine" information. I share them in a good spirit. If they are not appropriate to this forum, feel free to delete them.

This problem may have many causes. I spoke with different people who had this situation, and different ideas came.

First, know there are healing frequencies, rife frequency to help with this condition, and you can listen to them on youtube (search "rife tinnitus") for exemple.

We spoke about inbalance in minerals which may be an interesting idea to consider. To better integrate calcium and magnesium, 2 vitals minerals, you need vitamin D (supplement or sun exposition) and vitamin K2 (in fermented food, look nato, miso...).

If you take k2 and D3, you body will be able to process calcium efficiently. I think it is very important. Fermented food are medicine food.

Calcium works with magnesium, and generally we have a lack of magnesium, due to poor diet and stress. You can supplement magnesium in a very efficient way with "oil of magnesium" you put on your skin. This allows for maximum increase of magnesium level. If you want to supplement, i suggest magnesium bicarbonate which is quite easy to make at home, or magnesium citrate.

Otherwise, it is good to have a nutrition that brings all different kind of minerals. Nettles are very good for that, in soup for exemple. If you take fruits, you get vitamins, and also the geometry, energy in the fruits feeds your energy body.
Vegetables brings minerals, so it is very important. Vegetable juice brings a good amonts of minerals.

"Above" magnesium and calcium, there is boron which is a master mineral, and related with magnesium and calcium. It may bring some help, look for Sally Fallon's recipe. I point this mineral as it is nearly totally absent from our diet.

There is also something interesting : vitamin B12 and molyblenum. It has profund effect also in an energetic way. It may help to works with minerals. Minerals could reach a higher energetic state in the body, B12 and molyblenum are connected with that.

Gut is related to the brain and has an immense impact on immunity and health. There are supplements made of enzyms to effectivly bring benefits to the gut.

To remove all kind of toxins, a castor oil flush can be taken. IF you have enough energy and can evacuate waste without obstruction (you can go to the toilet). It is a very powerful process, if you want more info pm me. It can not only flush toxins from cells, but also has a deep impact on our energy, and our brain in a positive way. Dark thoughts just disapear.

We are in a very polluted world, also in an electromagnetic way. You can reduce the impact of those pollutions by using specific device, the mandalas of the site subtle.energy could be an option, or some good orgone generators.

Stress is disastrous in our world. If you can learn breathing exercices like Wim Hof it may bring you good help, and also see for exemple floating tank which are quite good.

These are some hints hoping they may bring some help.
