New book (I think) by Anam Thubten

Post by climb-up »

I passed by a bookstore that I don’t pass often, so I obviously had to go in, and I saw a book by Anam Thubten called “into the haunted ground” on chöd.
It doesn’t offer instruction in liturgy (although the second half follows the structure of the Longchen Nyingthig Chöd) but focuses on the essential meaning both for formal practice and daily life. Looks pretty awesome.

I’ve never heard of it, so I’m assuming it’s new, so I thought I’d let everyone know that it exists.
Here is a talk that he gave a month ago. I haven’t listened to it yet, but I expect it to be worth listening.

To recommend, for those wishing to be freed of holding onto ego, what causes suffering - harming.
Anam Thubten "appears" very kind and joyful, but is as well really wrathful.
“We are each living in our own soap opera. We do not see things as they really are. We see only our interpretations. This is because our minds are always so busy...But when the mind calms down, it becomes clear. This mental clarity enables us to see things as they really are, instead of projecting our commentary on everything.” Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo.
