What would it be like if you have a trillion years of life?

Post by master of puppets »

:alien:

What would it be like if you have a trillion years of life?

ever think

I’m sure you will feel queasy in everything you see or understand if you have a trillion years of life.

now, what's the truth?

I don't know.

What if you were an immortal??

I guess, at one point the space-time will break where the Einstein has pointed; and all turn to be torture or torment.
which haven't a chance to turn out.

do you brave enough to face these??

if not could these just be some levels through your truth?

:D

Feel relax that there is always a good side!!

gone gone gone to the other shore!

You’d get sick of it like the Buddha did and strive for liberation. Or, you wouldn’t and would keep doing the same thing for another trillion years. According to Buddha, this is very much our situation.
The bones of a single person wandering in Samsāra would be a cairn, a pile, a heap as Mount Vepulla, were there a collector of these bones and were the collections not destroyed.

"Longtime have you suffered the death of father and mother, of sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, and while you were thus suffering, you have verily shed tears upon this long way, more than there is water in the four oceans.

"Long time did your blood flow by the loss of your heads when you were born as oxen, buffaloes. rams, goats, etc.

"Long time have you been caught as dacoits or highwaymen or adulterers, and through your being beheaded, verily more blood has flowed upon this long way than there is water in the four oceans.

"And thus have you for long time undergone sufferings, undergone torment, undergone misfortune, and filled the graveyards full, verily long enough to be dissatisfied with every form of existence, long enough to turn away and free yourself from them all. [3]"
Of course a Bodhisattva would be motivated by helping all beings escape this fate.

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when sad

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when suffering occurs

Meditate upon Bodhicitta when you are scared

Living for 10^12 years is still impermanence.

Some would be like long lived gods.
Some would be like long lived auras.
Some might be like long lived hungry ghosts.
Some would be like long lived demons.
Some would experience all of these.
A few would be like long lived bodhisattva.
It would still be samara just with longer lifespans and so an intensification of samsara.

The oceans are set to boil off in about a billion years. The atmosphere has around two billion years. The entire planet may end up inside the sun when it becomes a red giant. And Andromeda will arrive and start merging with our galaxy in only a few billion years. Where do you expect a person could live for a trillion years?

They could terraform moons of the outer planets + Pluto + Kuiper Belt objects + travel to other star systems using current technology.

A year to my kids is like an era, to me it’s a negligible span of time, a decade doesn’t seem very long to me now…imagine how the scale changes with such a long lifespan. Better to just put down time altogether.

Over the course of a billion years, I'd imagine that a person could raise the kind of money needed to go there.

An article I just read last week said that the James Webb telescope is a problem for the big bang theory. The galaxies it is looking at from the first 400 to 500 million years of the universe aren't acting as predicted and some of the stars appeared to already be around a billion years old. So the universe may not be expanding and the big crunch might be off the table.

You'd finally get it right.
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.
