Great Dharani in Siddham and/or Hanja (for sagyeong, 사경, 寫經, "sutra copying") practice

Post by curtstein »

Does anyone know of a contemporary electronic (preferably pdf) version of the Korean version of the Great Dharani using either Siddham or Hanja?

I know Lokesh Chandra's book has the Siddham of the Korean version of the Dharani (which is somewhat different than the versions used elsewhere in East Asia) - but the characters are pretty hard to make out (especially for someone very green Siddham-wise, such as myself).

Also is it possible that Koreans only write the Great Dharani in either Hangul or Siddham - but NOT in Hanja?

My understanding is that if one wanted to do sagyeong (사경, 寫經, "sutra copying") practice with the Great Dharani it should be in either Hanja or Siddham. Anyone know if this is correct?

Thanks in advance for any answers!!!!
