When I log on to the Forum I do not want to beat my way through Nicheren debate.
Is there a way to not see them ? Apart from not clicking of course.

No. I might suggest not using "active topics" and simply browsing the forum by sub forum instead, that might make it easier. I have not seen any forum software that operates like that.

Thank you. I had not thought of that...

It also may help to go the main forms page, find the link "Mark Forums Read" on the right-hand top of the list. That will set all posts on all the forums as if you had read them, then the "Active Topics" link will only show new material.

Thank you. I should learn to use things in a better way!

I feel your pain. Thanks for your question, and also thanks to the staff for the helpful responses.
When walking, standing, sitting, lying down, speaking,
being silent, moving, being still.
At all times, in all places, without interruption - what is this?
One mind is infinite kalpas.

It's fine that the staff could please you. Especially because like this DW can fullfill it's main purpose: Being a platform for all of the Mahayana Buddhist traditions.
So, don't turn your back at DW, if something doesn't meet your taste. Rather engage instead. I say this to every- and anybody.
