Nyingma in Taos/Northern New Mexico

I'm looking in a few places to buy land in a few years and Taos New Mexico is one of those places.

To those who are Nyingma Savvy, is there much of a Nyingma presence up there? Or within two hours of Taos by car?

Lots of Buddhist presence in New Mexico, from what I have heard, including lots of stupas. I remember reading an article about it many years ago; found it here:
