Hello all,
I am starting to come down with whatever has been floating around my office and was wondering if it is ok to continue my daily practices while ill.
I would prefer not to stop if there is no prohibition on practicing while ill.
Any advice is welcome.
Thank you.

Re: Practicing while ill
Probably the best thing to do while ill.
I mean isn't that part of why we practice anyways?
Hope you feel better soon.

Definitely keep practicing even if you are sick. The thing is you can relax your practice a bit if you need to. Make sure you get sleep and rest. If your don't eat onions, garlic or meat, if you feel it would help you medically then you can relax this, if you wanted to (most lamas would permit this). Just don't overextend yourself.

When I was in hospital last summer with gall bladder problems, I found it a great time to do Medicine Buddha practice. I also rejoiced in the expressions of compassion and patience I saw constantly around me - from patients and staff, relatives and visitors.Aspiring.Monk wrote:Hello all,
