They are both very good. Khenpo Gelek's teachings are very pithy while Khenpo Tenpa is very detailed and clear in his instruction. Khenpo Tenpa especially, reminds me of a very passionate university professor except he is a professor of Dzogchen. Now that he is teaching extensively online, I'd say anyone interested in Dzogchen has a very good opportunity to learn from him.

Sorry but you'd have to ask a more experienced Bon person for that since this is the first time I heard these teachings as well.

Yetri Thasel Mogyud teaching registration is open
https://ligmincha.org/team/khenpo-tenpa ... -rinpoche/ This Rinpoche seems to be the real deal, no?

"Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche is the abbot (khenpo) of Triten Norbutse Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal, one of the two main Bön monasteries outside Tibet. "
"After graduating, Khenpo Rinpoche went to Kathmandu to further his studies of tantra and dzogchen under the guidance of His Eminence Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. In 1996, His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin, Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, and H.E. Yongdzin Rinpoche appointed him the head teacher of Triten Norbutse Monastery in Nepal."
Emaho... how fortunate. Too bad that I have another obligation with another Rinpoche on overlapping days... I hope others can benefit from this!

Yeah he is. One of the best Dzogchen teachers around who also gives easily accessible teachings.

Don't worry, Shenten organizes teachings with him on a very frequent basis since he is one of their main teachers so there's many opportunities. Just keep a look out on their website or Facebook page

2 upcoming sets of teachings that I am looking forward to:

1) In 2 weeks, a weekend teaching on "The Six Lamps" with Geshe Tenzin Wangyal. Attend live in Amsterdam or live through zoom. Recordings will be made available for attendees

https://ligmincha.nl/en/event/seminar- ... -may-2022/

2) Beginning in July, a teaching series on "Heart Drops of Kuntuzangpo" given by Chaphur Rinpoche. A 4 part teaching over 4 separate weekends in July, August, September, and October. Available through zoom.

Does Bon also require direct introduction or pointing out instructions? I saw that the Heart Drops of Kuntu Zangpo retreat promises 'a completel transmission to teach student', but would a novice be able to put into practice the teachings of the book (e.g., Rushan, Trekchö, etc., in order of course) at the end of the course?

Generally once one is introduced or had the nature of mind pointed out, one would engage in rushens etc. to clarify/stabilize the realization, Tregchod is what happens when it “works” and one can continue, it isn’t just techniques, per se.

So personally, it completely makes sense to me, the caveat being that without some kind of reference or guidance it might be really easy to get lost.

I don’t know all that much about Bön Dzogchen, but I have taken some teachings and done some reading, and very much value them. In those experiences I have noticed a preference for pointing out instruction via Shine, but that may just be the cycles I was being exposed to.

Hey, somewhere on the forum was a recent post regarding a Lung for A-Khrid teachings and an associated retreat. I cannot find it anywhere now, does anyone know of one upcoming? I recall it being posted about one month ago.
