What is the good/benefit of doing good in general?

one should expect nothing for the his goodness and charity.

you're walking, and you see a homeless person. you give him some money. you feel peaceful. your walking has changed and your mind relaxed. so, nice things will occur on your way.. people will help you..

but you can't expect any other benefit..

If you focus on benefiting others that will melt the ice blocks but as there's still self grasping in our cases then we grasp onto that because we've done that for so long

i like to say we need two legs for walking,
which are bodhicitta of intention and bodhicitta of action,
if you have only one leg, you can't go too far.
