The Moon

Post by Konchog Thogme Jampa »

Managed to get a photo of the moon with my new smartphone which has telephoto and astrophotography capability.

I need a tripod and perfect focus which this photo doesn't have to make it better.

But a lot of fun 🙃

Very cool.

Q. Which side of the moon has the most craters?
A. The outside.
EMPTIFUL.

Nice.

Flickr identifies the 'camera' - in this case, your phone - and I looked it up. It certainly gets some good reviews.
I'm interested because my next backup camera for my SLR will be a phone with a good camera, not another camera, because (as the saying goes) the best camera for the job is the one you have with you.

Yes it's a great camera phone has 100x Telephoto on one lens and Pro Mode so you have controls of aperture ISO and exposure like on a normal camera saves images as DNG also

It's also a really nicely designed piece of hardware has s-pen like on a Samsung Note great AI that I use as an assistant.

I think it's reduced on the Samsung website as the new one will be out soonish

I just checked actually there's no manual control of aperture in Pro mode there's some other controls that I don't yet understand though

They're still not as good as I can get with my DSLR and a telephoto lens, but they are within shouting distance of it - and I can't carry my camera in my pocket, and you can!

Wonder how good it'll be in 5 years

It's called a phone but the least important thing it does is make phone calls
