Monk's world
What does a monk think in his daily life?
what does he make his standing point?
what is his base on quantification and consideration in measuring?

EMPTIFUL.
An inward outlook produces outward insight.

Re: Monk's world
I would say that a monk is foremost a renunciant and participates in this world as such.

I know you are not joking but.....PadmaVonSamba wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 10:26 pmwhat does any of that mean?master of puppets wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 3:44 pm What does a monk think in his daily life?

Re: Monk's world
The thing is that the word monk is an umbrella term that covers a wide spectrum of people with common goals, so it's not possible to generalize individuals and their thoughts.master of puppets wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 3:44 pm What does a monk think in his daily life?

Don't know if that was helpful for you because I couldn't fully understand your question, myself.

Okay,...
I'll give my own answers for a better understanding
He does not have a thought.
Only the practice mind is his standing point, from moment to moment, yet it is empty.
This mind (if you understand) is both his tool and base on measuring.
I had wondered just different views..

Re: Monk's world
Monk in buddhadharma (or bhikshu) is someone who has taken ordination and follows the 250 (+/-) vows. That is all. It says nothing about his level of realization or some inner state. Yes ideally he has some level of renunciation etc. but at least he is virtuous in the sense of following those vows he made. That is all. Quantify that.
“Observing samaya involves to remain inseparable from the union of wisdom and compassion at all times, to sustain mindfulness, and to put into practice the guru’s instructions”. Garchen Rinpoche
For those who do virtuous actions,
goodness is what comes to pass.
For those who do non-virtuous actions,
that becomes suffering indeed.

In AKB Vasubadhu explains that there is also the Pratimoksha of Dhyana, which begins when you attain dhyana. I.e. You have to behave after sitting practice in conformity with the dhyana state.

What is “standing point”?
A monk sits.
What is “base on quantification”?
A monk sits on a cushion.
What is “consideration in measuring”?
Except in America,
a monk uses the metric system.
Aside from that, your questions make no sense.
