Any Ebooks by James Low, but especially Simply Being and Being Right Here - for Dzogchen/Vajrayana people.

I have found quite a few free resources online. Now I have more books than time... such is life.
Large collection of books in various schools, even has a kids section - http://www.buddhanet.net/ebooks.htm
An assortment of books and lectures - https://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/index.html
Lots of free books, and some courses - https://buddhistuniversity.net/library/

A Trip to Nangchen by Konchok Jungney (western lama)
Wisdom Eccentrics by Ngakpa Chogyam (alleged stories about the legendaryn Kunzang Dorje Rinpoche).
Both e-books.
I'm not a huge fan of ordering from Amazon, but what to do in samsara...

I also appreciate "real (dead tree) books."
While your local library likely does not have an extensive collection of Buddhist literature, what they might have is interlibrary loan. If they do, you can use that to have request whatever title you like... and borrow it for free.

When there's a book I like a lot but the local library doesn't have, I like to put in a request for it and they will sometimes (maybe often - I haven't tracked my success rate) buy it for their collection. I think that's a good move, because it means other people will see it on the shelf and borrow it.

On occasion of Black Friday Week amazon is offering free 3-month audible subscriptions to "selected customers", whatever that means, just check out if it's available to you. And, of course, don't forget to unsubscribe after the third title
I had already shamelessly freeloaded on this offer one year ago and to my surprise they offered it to me again this year. Last year, among others, I downloaded
The Universe in a Single Atom: The Convergence of Science and Spirituality, read by Richard Gere
The titles remain available to listen to after the subscription is cancelled
