Hello everyone. I'm not really sure if this is the appropriate place of the forum to post this, but I thought it would get more views. So here we are.
I'd like to know from you guys if you've heard of any university that offers a distance learning option for an undergraduate major (or minor) degree in Tibetan Studies/Language. I'd like to check if there are other options besides Rangjung Yeshe Institute https://ryi.org/.
Due to my professional and family responsibilities I cannot leave my country; my only option for this pursuit would be through distance leaning. So I'd like to consider all the possibilities available online before I commit financially to this personal project.
In the near future there is a good chance I'll get a position as Lecturer of Linguistics and Translation Studies at a local university. And so I thought to myself: maybe I could benefit sentient beings by using this university position to do research in Classical Tibetan and eventually try to publish it. I have this aspiration especially when I consider the state of affairs of Tibetan language in general, but first I have to learn the language well (andreceive teachings on the traditional texts).
Any ideas?
Cheers!

Not a degree, but Mangalam Research Center has a Tibetan Language program for Dharma students.
