He is now in a luminal state of awareness, which makes it a very precious time to connect with his blessing field. Before passing he explained how, "during the final dissolution of mind into space, the two benefits are accomplished - the benefits for self and other. Cremation services for Acharya Dawa Chhodak Rinpoche will take place on Guru Rinpoche day, Nov. 28, at Ramadolo cremation ground in Kathmandu. We will be performing the T'hroma Jin-Sek. Ceremonies will start at 9:00 am.

Chod is part of an actual cremation like that?

That wasn´t chod apart from that dance from Khandro Gegjang performed by that yogi at the end, but sadhana of Dudjom Lingpa´s Throma Nagmo with fire puja of Throma Nagmo.
