The Flower That Mended.

Post by Budai »

What is there to say
When you’re here?
But in the distance
You’re still in tears
Like the sovereign Candace
As you wait for that day
When your Kingdom fills in harvest
Inside this moment you tell yourself
You’d rather live in the wilderness
Than an apartment
But in that kindness
You look at your bookshelf

And take out the Lotus Sutra
To read and chant in your heart
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo was your start
And so selflessness to you is no umbra

Will the fire that burns
Go out in the snow?
Is that what you’re waiting for?
Among those who have nothing more to learn

Or the wind?
Or the rain?
It’s so simple how you’ve disliked sin
And hated pain

When the means to and end is your friend
It’s clearly Buddhist when it’s Dharma that mends

So you chant
And let go
Of fire and snow
And of Samsara’s rant
About how you just can’t let it go
And you let go
You’re home
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

Great poem!

namo amida butsu!

Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.

Thank you. I think everything you do adds to the well-being of the Dharma, so it means a lot to me that you call my poem great  .
