Raindrop

Post by Hazel »

Like a raindrop
May I become the river
And know the other shore
Happy Pride month to my queer dharma siblings!

What do you see when you turn out the lights?

“We are each living in our own soap opera. We do not see things as they really are. We see only our interpretations. This is because our minds are always so busy...But when the mind calms down, it becomes clear. This mental clarity enables us to see things as they really are, instead of projecting our commentary on everything.” Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo.

I was thinking about how a raindrop diffuses in a pond and was inspired. It's really neat when you think about it. We think of a rain drop as just joining a body of water as soon as it hits it, but the water that was in that drop slowly spreads out.
