The name Lungtok is inspired by the bright person of the 33th abbot of Menri, His Holiness Lungtok Tenpai Myima Rimpoche, whose greatest teaching was his own life itself.

Rinpoche will never forget to remind us not to waste our time, our opportunities, to do what is needed, with equanimity and compassion; and to never forget that one day we will die and that we must be prepared for that event, help us to lend assistance to as he personally did every time he was called to a dying man's bedside.

His holiness, missing on September 14, 2017, has deeply inspired all those who have met him.
For those persons He is still present.

Today on 23rd September 2019, Triten Norbutse Monastery organized a memorial ceremony in memory of The Great Master of Yungdrung Bön the 33rd Menri Trizin, Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche.

It's been a complete two year since the departure of honorable great master, who entered the state of Parinirvana.

Whole monks of Triten Norbutse Monastery did a special offerings and a ritual, and practice meditation with a participation of general public. 1929-2017

You practice to be able to recognize awareness as someone that you know,
and you do this practice with present awareness by not following the thoughts of the past
or being engaged with thoughts of the future.
You simply rest in this awareness, the mind of the present.
This is Buddhahood.
