Chod Ngondro

Post by KonchogUrgyenNyima »

Hello my friends,

I'm wondering how many chod Ngondros there are out there?
The one I know about is the Shuksep Ngondro
Does anyone know of any others? I am very interested in Dzogchen chod traditions.
Any chod ngondro you know about would be really great to hear about though:)

Thank you and may beings benefit!

My impression is that all complete cycles of Chöd have some form of preliminary.

The new Ösel Nyingtig is Dzogchen oriented and has a traditional Ngöndro and Yeshe Tsogyal as preliminary (if I understand it correctly): https://www.taramandala.org/programs/os ... -overview/

It is also taught in the Dawn Mountain Sangha: https://www.dawnmountain.org/dzogchen-c ... verview-2/

The Machik Dakini Ear-Whispered Lineage is Mahamudra based and has a different kind of preliminary – Ensa/Ganden Ear-Whispered Lineage:

For anyone serious about Chöd, it is absolutely amazing to consider that we have all these Chöd cycles available in the West – which is only possible through the dedication of a handful of teachers.
