This is coming up quite soon but I thought I'd post it because they have one here every year. It is a beautiful center in the wilderness of an island on the west coast of North America. A ngakpa lives nearby who comes to do a retreat and teaching every year on Longchen Nyingtig chod.

DW Fall Retreat
1st Online Chö Retreat

Transmission, Commentary & Practice

Featuring Aryadeva's "Esoteric Instructions"

Friday - Sunday, September 21st - 23rd

Open to All

The upcoming first ONLINE CHÖ RETREAT features the sole Indian source of Chö - Aryadeva’s “Esoteric Instructions”. This is an auspicious transmission for our first Dakini’s Whisper Chö retreat together. The transmission and commentary are interwoven with actual Chö practice, meditation and movement in order to integrate Chö Mahamudra with the body and mind-stream. The schedule is arranged as follows, to accommodate as much as possible, different time zones. (see the link below for more details.)

Practically, this retreat involves four sessions per day – two together, two on your own. This has the additional benefit of making the schedule flexible enough for students in both the U.S. and Europe to participate in the retreat without having to push their sleep and waking routine. Those in the early time zone will practice on their own before the two communal sessions, and those in the late time zone will practice after.

For the Oddiyana Retreat with Lho Ontul Rinpoche, should that read as Shravasti rather than Sharasvati? Seems like they're all places of pilgrimage, and Shravasti not only was where Buddha Shakyamuni spent the majority of his awakened life in Jetavana (Cool Grove), but it's also a major hub of Drikung Kagyu activity thanks to the activities of the 37th Drikung Kyabgön, Trinley Lhundrup (the 7th Chetsang Rinpoche) who is revitalizing the site after it has long since been neglected.

"The Sutras, Tantras, and Philosophical Scriptures are great in number. However life is short, and intelligence is limited, so it's hard to cover them completely. You may know a lot, but if you don't put it into practice, it's like dying of thirst on the shore of a great lake. Likewise, a common corpse is found in the bed of a great scholar." ~ Karma Chagme
