Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
Thus shall ye think of all this fleeting world:
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream;
A flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.

Re: Music time
Two more Scottish football songs. I already posted the Sheep Shaggers one, as sung by Glasgow Rangers fans when their team is playing against Aberdeen. "But what do they sing when Rangers are playing against Dundee United?" I expect you're all wondering.
The answer is that if it's an away game they sing "Dinnae bring an Arab hame tae me", which means "Don't bring an Arab home to me".
But if Rangers are playing at Ibrox then they sing "Living next door tae an Arab", which is a parody of Smokie's hit song "Living next door to Alice".
But how come Dundee United fans are called Arabs? There are lots of theories, but nobody knows for sure. In the final analysis it's just one of life's insoluble mysteries.
Here are two of the more likely theories, if you're interested.

Thornlie Boys - "Half a Ball" and "The Secret"
These two are usually sung when Protestant-supported Rangers are playing against Irish Catholic-supported teams like Celtic and Hibernians.
Chorus
Pope John Paul wears half a ball
To hide his balding head,
They say that he'll still have it on
When he's lying dead.
But I wonder if he'd wear it
If he knew when it was whole
That ball was kicked by Ally McCoist
Into the Celtic goal.
Chorus
When yer Pope becomes a Proddy
When yer nuns show off their bodies
When yer priests start singing "The Sash"
In other words, you Fenians, kiss my arse!

She was my former fiancée in our Takoma Park hippie days. First Fahey song I ever learned on guitar (but not the last).
