Can't this be a reference to the "ground" and the light a reference to "emerging from the earth" albeit another traditions analogy/perspective/etc. ?

I understand that but some teachings speak of one or the other as if they are separate things for the sake of recognition. I don't think it would be unfair to say you have demonstrated an understanding of this concept. It is a meaningful means but Nichiren discusses how this conflation puts a whammy in understanding.

I have to imagine you're giggling like a fool typing this stuff out.
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.
