Tara's divination from Atisha ?
Dear Dharma friends,
I found this book : http://www.cultura.com/l-oracle-des-21- ... 40593.html
About a 21 Tara MO (divination) system using 22 pearls presumed to be from Jowo Atisha teached by Lama Zopa Rinpoche directly to the author Lillian Too.
I made my investigation on TBRC looking in some Mo volume founding one from Atisha relating to Tara, but using mala, nothing about Mo stones. Any student of Lama Zopa Rinpoche can tell if this Mo transmission explained in this book is authentic or invention from author ?
That's not to make drama or polemic, but just to know if information given by the author are trustable or not.
Thank you very much,
Best Dharma wishes

Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
Thank,
Yes I seen on FPMT there is a draft about a Tara's MO, I don't know but it is maybe the one I found in Tibetan effectively from Atisha using a Mala but that's not the one from the book I linked who is relying on 21 Tara using 21 clear pearls + 1 black one. So the question still persist, is the information on this book are authentic or not.
Maybe I will ask directly on FPMT.
Thank you.

Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
I can tell you for sure these three things:
Atisha was particularly devoted to Tara.
Lama Zopa's divinations are very reliable.
Lillian Too is a close disciple and supporter of Lama Zopa's.

Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
One of the links shared above mentions briefly a practice called 'hearing divination'. I believe this is the same thing I have heard called 'sound logic'. I have only heard of this from one lama, he said it is a form of divination and that Choden Rinpoche was very good with it. anyone know anything about this form of divination?

The first 2 points I knew, but the third is a good news, if she is a supporter of Lama Zöpa I presume that the informations given or her book are authentic and valid. But the strange thing is I can't trace any manual related to this divination method.
Anyway, thank you.

I'd definitely email FPMT, they are usually very quick to respond, if you email Lama Zopa's assistant you are likely to get a response from Lama Zopa.dzinamitra wrote:The first 2 points I knew, but the third is a good news, if she is a supporter of Lama Zöpa I presume that the informations given or her book are authentic and valid. I have just thought it could be similar to Lama Yeshe (Lama Zopa's teacher) as he when asked a question would move his mala and then respond. I can't find the source for this anymore but I read it recently.

Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
There is different Mala divination method and aswell one from Atisha related to Tara. But the autour here present a system totally different than mala using 22 stones, 21 white + 1 black. I also e-mailed FPMT to know the authenticity of the information given on her book.Lobsang Chojor wrote:I'd definitely email FPMT, they are usually very quick to respond, if you email Lama Zopa's assistant you are likely to get a response from Lama Zopa.dzinamitra wrote:The first 2 points I knew, but the third is a good news, if she is a supporter of Lama Zöpa I presume that the informations given or her book are authentic and valid. Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
I really don't know, but the mo system seems to be based on (or related to) an earlier Indian system using stones. I forget where I remember reading this sadly.dzinamitra wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2016 6:51 pm

Re: Tara's divination from Atisha ?
Just came across Jhampa Shaneman teaching what seems to be the same system of divination. You can find it here.dzinamitra wrote: ↑Sat Nov 05, 2016 6:51 pm Dear Dharma friends,
