Hi!
Ive been using the blue daily prayer book available on Garchen institute. Would anyone know if those require empowerments, or all the prayers ok to do on a daily basis without specific instruction on them alongside doing Ngondro?
Also for other Drikung Kagyu followers, if its ok to disclose, what do you include in your daily sadhana?

I always assume the daily sadhana has everything I need by itself.

This is not what Garchen Rinpoche public answer would be but this is my traditional view.Dordze wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 7:27 am Hi!

1. The Guru Yoga would need empowerment to make any sense at all, as you are taking the four empowerments in the practice.
2. The smoke offering revealed by Rinchen Phuntsok would best be served by getting the lung.
3. Serkhangma 7 branch is a tantric offering practice, so empowerment into any anutarayogatantra or any yoga or maha yoga, mahamudra, Dzogchen....
4. Summoning good fortune is a section of a profound terma by a drugpa kagyu terton named rigzin chogyal Dorje, it explains the ground path and fruition from an ati point of view, so best to have an empowerment.
5. supplication to 7 taras, pretty safe to supplicate tara.
6.heart sutra.ok.
7.prayer for word peace. ok
8.kunzang monlam from Gongpa zhangtal, ati, empowerment, and lung, and guidance.
9.Mahamudra pith instuctions, empowerment and guidance
10.king of aspiration. ok
11. dedication. ok
12. dedication. ok
13. amithabha. ok.
hope that helps, though this post is a month old.
