Have you heard of "Nyingma Psychology"?

Post by Padmist »

This is the first time I've heard of it: https://nyingmainstitute.com/nyingma-psychology/

I'm curious if there are other ways to learn this outside the course (paid course) setting.

Iirc Tarthang Tulku wrote some books in a series by this name.

Oh wait, it’s his site. What is your question, he’s acknowledged as an authentic and qualified teacher for sure.

Anyway, he wrote a bunch of books in the 70s which are excellent and worth checking out, I think some were the Nyingma Pyschology series.

I'm hoping to learn this outside the structured paid (expensive for me) courses by his students. So my question is where to learn this knowledge besides that.

Again, there''s a whole set of books in this rough series, they differ a lot.

The above book is hard to read because it's Guenther, but it is IMO quite excellent, as are most of Tarthang Tulku's books. Just google "Tarthang Tulku Nyingma Pyschology Series" or something similar.

There you go. These can usually be found cheap these days too.

I don't know anything about these specific links but simply found them by Googling. Like I said the books have been around forever can be found all over. I own like half of them which I found in a thrift store years ago.
