Kalachakra

Post by Rudra Chakrin »

I've been studying the Kalachakra for 44 years and contacted the main translators of Tibetan Buddhism recently to share insights.
But it may be because of COVID-19 but they seem to be totally "insulated" against the outside world.
In these days of virus and pandemic, the Kalachakra is very important.
So, I'd be most happy if some of you would rise up from out of the lock down and talk to me.

I find what you are saying is rather vague, at least to an ignoramus like myself. But if you are looking for information on Kalachakra, Khentrul Rinpoché is reported to be a specialist in this lineage.

Pardon-moi, mais vous dites que vous avez étudié le Kalachakra pendant 44 ans?
What do you mean by "study?" How have you studied it? Do you have a solid ground in the basics (Shamatha, Nagarjuna, etc.)? If you mean studied by an academic way, may we see what papers you have published/written or follow? If by a teacher, which one?
While I certainly am not a Kalachakra practitioner, there are many out there that senselessly practice HYT out of ego, pride, for power, etc. or attempt to misinterpret and spread misinformation about it without actual understanding behind it or its purpose as seen with some conspiracy theories out there.

I'm just curious about this interpretation and study. C'est tout.

That is excellent. Who is your teacher?

Kalachakra tends to be a speciality of the Jonang and (to a lesser degree) of the Gelug, which tradition are you practicing in?

Which leads to my next question: Why have you posted this in the Nyingma sub-forum?

No, but you seem to indicate that there is no kalachakra in the nyingma with your question.

I can assure you that I was doing nothing of the sort.

Just that the poster would benefit from posting in the Tibetan Buddhism forum as they would a wider range of responses and interest.
