They are a challenging category of literature.
Yes..similar to poetry reading/writing ?
In a way, yes.
"All phenomena of samsara depend on the mind, so when the essence of mind is purified, samsara is purified. Since the phenomena of nirvana depend on the pristine consciousness of vidyā, because one remains in the immediacy of vidyā, buddhahood arises on its own. All critical points are summarized with those two." - Longchenpa

I don't know about corrections. Could you elaborate what this would be?

At any rate, here is his site:

Volume 1 is in a 2nd edition, I believe due to 1st edition being sold out. What remains to be published are the following two volumes:

Volume 7, Longchenpa's Kunjed Düdön and Rinchen Druwo, Nov-2018
Volume 8, root text, chapters 1-84, with Tibetan critical edition, Sep-2019

Jim worked many years on the translation, so corrections before publishing that is what i understood .
Cannot find the web page where i have read that, sorry.'

OK makes sense.

Yes, I am very glad that we have translators working on the tantras and texts of Dzogchen. Jim Valby, Malcolm, Jean-Luc Achard, etc. I'm so happy they do what they do.

Agree, 40 years ago when i started with Tibetan Buddha Dharma, the only books were, Tibetan Yoga, Tibetan book of death,
and some paperbacks / simple booklets from Dharamsala / Tibetan Library.

Nowadays this has changed due to the western translators and there are many , some top (practitioners and translators), academics or a mix of both.

The best translations are imo, done by translators, who do the practice about what they write / translate and have a Guru / Master as back support.

JLA is such a translator as far as i know, but there are more of course.

In ChNNR’s rendering of the Kunjed Gyalpo, in Chapter 30 where it says “The universal path in harmony with that [nature] manifests as the moon and its support,” what is the symbol / image being described? What is ‘the moon and its support’? Is this like the moon over a lotus or something? Just curious.

i believe "it's support" refers to the support for it's reflection.

it's an expression that you can find in the dorsem namkha che iron commentary
true dharma is inexpressible.

The bodhisattva nourishes from bodhicitta, through whatever method the Buddha has given him. Oh joy.

i was told that kunjed gyalpo is root text to samdhi and if someone can tel me is there any root text to longde????
Yes, the root tantra of Longde is the Longchen Rabjam Gyalpo tantra. Another key root text is famous Dorje Zampa, aka Vajra Bridge, written by Vairotsana.
