Hi, everyone,
I want to get started with Dzogchen, and I'm trying to find a teacher. I was thinking about checking out Orgyen Chowang Rinpoche, since he's based near where I live and he seems to have some beginner-level teachings. Does anyone have any experience with/thoughts on him or his org (the Pristine Mind Foundation)?
Thanks!

He is a qualified teacher. I have met him personally, many years ago.philji wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 8:27 pmBut is he a very nice or even better good teacher?Malcolm wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 8:17 pmHe is a very nice person.TheSynergist wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:57 pm Hi, everyone,

I thought he was pretty cool, I have done a few teachings with him, both in person (Pre Covid) and online. I don't consider him a main teacher or anything, but I am glad to have met him and had teachings from him. He is quite reputable AFAIK.TheSynergist wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:57 pm Hi, everyone,

Thank you, all, for your comments! It sounds like, if nothing else, he's ethical and qualified. I look forward to listening to him on Zoom.

I’ve enjoyed the teachings I’ve received from him. He was a disciple of the last Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok at Larung Gar. His organization has recently announced he’s decided to start teaching Dzogchen. He follows the somewhat traditional ngondro, then Dzogchen approach.
