Rely on the Dharma as much as you can whilst recuperating.

I had a serious chest infection a few years ago that took a few months recuperation I had to rest a lot.

A couple years ago I was in the ICU w/ a punctured lung, had the drain and so on. It was quite a miserable experience- feeling for you :(
