Request for prayers for my mother-in-law

Post by Dan74 »

Heidi, my mother-in-law, will likely pass within days.

She's been very kind to me, but also to many people, friends, neighbours and strangers, making flower arrangements and baking cookies for them well into her illness just to bring a little bit of joy to people.

If you can hold her in your prayers, that will be appreciated.

I ask Avalokakitesvara and The Amida Buddha with a single mind to work together for Her to joyously be reborn in the Amida Pure Land, to fully be free of any sort of pain or suffering and to pursue a path of Spiritual Joy. And for however long She is still present on Earth, I ask Avalokakitesvara to protect Her, and by Her choosing may She stay present with you for a lengthy time, if it is possible, in order to grace you with Her presence, by the power of Avalokakitesvara. Om.

Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.
Namu Amida Butsu.

Om Mani Padme Hum

Thanks for sharing, Dan. My prayers (Medicine Buddha, who helps with better parting as well) are granted.

I will sit, chant, and offer incense, keeping you both in mind.

From what you describe, you are lucky to have such wonderful family.

Will do.

All the best to your family.
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.
