Prayers for my wife

Post by FiveSkandhas »

She is going into the hospital for at least 30 days due to an unknown lung problem that has completely flooded one of her lungs with fluid. Due to general corona precautions I will be unable to see her during her hospitalization, which may turn out to be longer. We have been together roughly a quarter of a century.

If any of you would be so kind as to spare a prayer for her I would be most grateful.
"One should cultivate contemplation in one’s foibles. The foibles are like fish, and contemplation is like fishing hooks. If there are no fish, then the fishing hooks have no use. The bigger the fish is, the better the result we will get. As long as the fishing hooks keep at it, all foibles will eventually be contained and controlled at will." -Zhiyi

I can sympathise. My father and my mother-in-law both died in hospital recently and the COVID19 protocols made it all but impossible to see them. My mother is in a care home and we can see her only once a week. It's very hard.

My prayers for her quick recovery and your being reunited soon.
This is not the wrong life.

May all be well for your family and all beings and may your wife quickly recover.

Gomde California, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche's center, offers a prayer service that is free of charge. They offer prayers for the sick. It's a really good center. https://gomdeca.org/prayer-requests-offerings/

My prayers to your wife.
There is no suffering to be severed. Ignorance and klesas are indivisible from bodhi. There is no cause of suffering to be abandoned. Since extremes and the false are the Middle and genuine, there is no path to be practiced. Samsara is nirvana. No severance achieved. No suffering nor its cause. No path, no end. There is no transcendent realm; there is only the one true aspect. There is nothing separate from the true aspect.

Many thanks again. I really do appreciate it. Apart from a few friends and relatives I see rarely, I am isolated without her in a nation that is not my mother country, so feeling your concern had been more helpful than you might imagine.
