Prayer for Bruce

Post by avatamsaka3 »

Yesterday I saved a cockroach from a bathroom. As I was bringing him (?) outside, I named him Bruce. When I tossed him out of my little bug transport device, onto some wood outside, he just remained there not moving. He may still be there now. I know he lost an antenna. So, let's hope he recovers and becomes a great bodhisattva for all sentient beings!

I believe he's deceased, as he's belly up and hasn't moved at all. Let's say a little prayer for his fortunate rebirths!

I am doing just fine; in fact, I am just "being".

Thank you so much for asking how I am doing, by the way. That is so kind of you.

I am hoping that Bruce has many lifetimes of joy.

Peace and enlightenment.

My favorite Bruce memory; there was a packing tape dispenser in the basement, I looked at it and saw a "daddy longlegs" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opiliones) with half of his legs stuck to the tape, trying in vain to escape. I got a razor blade and slowly ran it between the stuck legs and the tape and managed to not break any. Freed, I watched him stretch them all and put himself back in order. We parted ways on good terms, I hope he had a long career after...

Most days its just escorting stinkbugs to the window lol
