Please recommend the best way to read these sutras in English. Should I buy books? Which ones do you recommend for each? or are there websites I could go to to read them?

Lotus Sutra goes:

The Lotus Sutra and Its Opening and Closing Sutras can be read in browser for free. Translated by Burton Watson, used by SGI Nichiren Practitioners. It can be purchased here.

Another Lotus Sutra Version by Burton Watson can be found here.

BDK Version of the Lotus Sutra, can be purchased or downloaded for free here.

To answer the "best way to read", I personally prefer commentaries because I have no idea what anything means otherwise.
