let 100000000 demos be ...
you will die one day anyway ... this body will perish
preparing mind with compassion, loving kindness and stable meditation or even better direct experience of emptiness is what will protect you after death
this is real focus of the path
4 activities are secoundary

What protects us after death is built up in the here and now by making use of this precious body with the karma mind.
The more one gets spiritual developed the more the Spirits cheque one´s stability / not moving like a rock.
The Buddha Shakyamuni was visited by a host of Maras , when he was in the stadia of Enlightenment.
Also Lopon Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche, warns us for these kind of Spirits who like to visit some practitioners of Dzogchen.

In the Bardo of Dying on can have evidence of one´s obtained level of Realization, that is true.
The best meditation is no meditation
