Tanluan discusses the three meanings of the word "I" as used by Vasubandhu ad Nagarjuna

Post by Aemilius »

Tanluan remarks that Vasubandhu and Nagarjuna use the word "I" in their texts, for example in "I worship the Buddha etc..", and "I take refuge in the Fully Enlightened One".

From "The Pure Land Writings, Volume II, Tanluan: Commentary on the Treatise on the Pure Land Gathas in Praise of Amida Buddha", Shin Buddhism Translation Series.
