Infinite beings and world systems?

Post by Heimdall »

So are there truly infinite world systems and beings - meaning there is a never ending amount of beings and world systems?

If that is true, how would it be possible that all sentient beings will eventually become Bodhisattvas, considering there can not be an end to the amount of beings?

“Infinite” means more than one can calculate or imagine. It’s like, there are infinite grains of sand on the earth. But not really.

“Infinite” also refers to different types of suffering, not necessarily to quantity of beings.

This is because ultimately “infinite” refers to karmic mind-streams. Buddhism rejects the idea of an inherently existing “self” so you have to ask, “How can there be an infinite number of “selves” when there is no place where even one “self” csn be located to begin with?” Ultimately, there can’t be. So what does that leave one eith that we can call “infinite”? The unlimited constant chsnge of appearances.
EMPTIFUL.
An inward outlook produces outward insight.
