Is the Simulation Argument /transhumanism friendly with buddhism?

Post by megaman chiquito »

By transhumanism i mean the culture and idea of reducing sentient suffering("hedonistic imperative") rather than just cyber implants.
simulation is a model of the universe proposed and defended by nick bostrom. Is this two ideas compatible with Buddhism?
my own opinion is that:

)the "brain in a jar" model of reality, also called Boltzmannian brain, is compatible with illusionary view of the world, not being 100% real
)paranormal phenomena can be explained without an absolute god
)open or empty individualism makes more sense/anatta?

Im not a science expert, just a reader for fun,but i think this discussion is fruitful. :alien:

It might be helpful if you also posed this question in your native language.

The answer is Enlightenment, not illusion or delusion, or selfishness. Also respect your body!

Start there.
