Movies you have watched a lot of times.
Movies you have watched a lot of times.
As a degenerate and incorrigible entertainment lover there are a number of movies that I would watch every couple of months, so with complete honesty and no virtue signalling mine would include:
'Grosse Pointe Blank' George Armitage
'Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels' Guy Ritchie
'Snatch' Guy Ritchie
'Rocknrolla' Guy Ritchie.
What about you?

Ditto on "Lock, Stock..."
The Blues Brothers is another one that I can watch endlessly. Even if just for the music (and the scene with the Illinois Nazis).

Yup good one.
'Lucky Number Slevin' is another.
I've watched 'Predestination' by the Spierig Brothers twice and got the broad-brush plot.
I'm hoping if I watch it a couple more times I might get the subtleties.

Love The Big Lebowski.. And most (but not all) Coen brothers films. The Hudsucker Proxy and O Brother Where Art Thou are particular favourites.

Hands down winner, Blazing Saddles. It played in the back room of the bar where I used to work, I know I've seen it at least 100 times, if not more. So many lines appropriate to social occasions....
Most anything by Mel Brooks, really. And Groundhog Day.
I haven't seen many movies in the past 20 years, so most of my favorites are old classics, Hitchcock, etc. One interesting one I did see on DVD was Cloud Atlas, but I wouldn't say I'd watch that all the time.

I watched "The Graduate" many times in my life. A great peace of art in my view.
Also I often saw "The Color Purple", "What dreams may come" and "The Sixth Sense" (Good stories),
"Evita" (because I found the music interesting),
"Some like it hot" (wonderful timing)
And I love "The Goofy Movie" - I was the only person in the cinema who laughed about all the jokes. Goofy's problems and fails as a father remind me very much of my own life as mother.

Re: Movies you have watched a lot of times.
There really are some great movies mentioned here.
Snatch and lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels.
An Australian movie I'd like to give a mention to is the sapphires. It's set in Australia /Vietnam during the Vietnam War and is based on a true story. It's not your typical shoot 'em up war movie. As a matter of fact there's no shooting at all until right at the end and like the blues brothers there's some great music.

Not a movie, but I watched Sci-fi's Dune series a few times.
Also, Jerome Bixby's "Last Man from Earth".

Pulp fiction 'Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children........I never really questioned what it meant. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man. And I'm the righteous man. And Mr. .45 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin, Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd"
And of course the Blues brothers, fabulous music from beginning to end.

These are all similar in that they have a distinct continouus background atmosphere which builds the basis out of which the more discrete anticipation generating actions emerge. This interplay makes those movies simultanously unreal and hyperreal.
Lost in Translation is my favourite because of the mixture of existentialist-innocence. Chungking express is similar in this regard.
