Why is an Arhant not a Buddha? :buddha1: :namaste:

Is this answer helpful? https://studybuddhism.com/en/advanced-s ... and-arhats

I believe, if you browse that website you can find more information about the Vajrayana (Gelug) view on Buddhas / Bodhisattvas / Arhats.

A Buddha is somone who discovered the dharma on his own. Arhant is when you attain liberation but the teachings exist in the word (for example how it is now). One day the teachngs will be forgotten and a new buddha will rise and establish the dharma. Also there are different meanings for buddha, the person and the concept of it (buddha means awake)
