Penis piercing
Penis piercing
I am thinking of getting a piercing. Is it against buddhist ethics or vows or so? E.g. counting as mutilating ones body etc?

Re: Penis piercing
No! Just no. Why would you mutilate yourself like that??
My legs are going to be crossed all morning, now.

This is not the wrong life.
Re: Penis piercing
Demonstrably unhealthy, and you’ll never pee correctly again, if you thinking of getting a Prince Albert.
Also, as a Vajrayana practitioner, arguably a bad idea.
Re: Penis piercing
Because it is a violation of vows?
I would never get it through the tip, but I like how frenulum piercings look.
Re: Penis piercing
There is no explicit vow against, but piercing the body opens it to infection, and they are permanent open sores. But it’s your dick, so you do whatever you want to it.Toenail wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 11:58 amBecause it is a violation of vows?

I mean, having sex with someone's partner with your new penis piercing. I just don't see the appeal. But then you couldn't pay me to get a tattoo.

If you did get one you could at least hang a mini prayer flag from it.

I wonder, once your testicles are swollen from the vaccine, what would catch the eye the most?
Re: Penis piercing
This would probably work for someone who was actually dangerous. But for a poseur? It would appear compensatory.

Mod note: I think this is a fine thing to discuss, however I encourage folks to keep discussion to the dharma related implications of this piercing which was the initial question. We're dangerously close to the medical advice prohibition.

Re: Penis piercing
Its not a medical procedure, which is why you can get it done in a tat parlor.
Re: Penis piercing
(my bold)
I think the discussion is in the grey area with people giving advice about medical implications, so I'm just "encouraging" and not telling people they can't.
PM if you want to further discuss moderation of this thread.

Crystal meth is also pleasurable. Not conducive to liberation from saṃsāra, though.Toenail wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 12:46 amYou can't imagine that that could be pleasurable?Archie2009 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 17, 2021 2:50 pm I mean, having sex with someone's partner with your new penis piercing.
