Can Shikantaza be done "wrong", or is an attempt at it automatically successful?

One may hardly get it in a few special buddhist bookstores in Japan were customers are mainly zen teachers or uni teachers. and the price is very high.
Hi Matylda, Do you mean the collected works 原坦山和尚全集 ? Do you know if this is still available anywhere?
I checked on internet, Japanese websites, and this title appearce like on amazon or kinouniya etc., but not available anywhere. One has to search for it untill it will be found finally. Some old Buddhist bookstores in Kanda/Tokyo or in Kyoto might have it as well.

I found another one https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E7%A6%85%E5%A ... 4893505882

There is a one to view online from the National Diet library in Japan. It is very old, in the public domain and free to view online. I sent the link to Aya, and he had some trouble. I think he will try to post it here soon. You can also try to look it up yourself at the government website. Lilly

The book was published in 1909, so a little older even than me!
