I seem to remember reading somewhere that in the early schools, there was some categorization of types of arhats, with some of them actually taking birth in subsequent lifetimes or something similar. I don't believe that modern Theravada discusses this at all.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? Any additional information by chance?
Thanks in advance.
