Hello all.
I'm a recently ordained monastic, a getsul (novice) in the Karma Kagyu (17th Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje). I was ordained by the Very Venerable 9th Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche at Thrangu Monastery Canada in Richmond BC in the Summer of 2016. I'm not a new practitioner, but as far as monks go, the paint's still not dry. I am not a resident monk at Thrangu Monastery Canada, however. I live on my own (with a cat) in Calgary and travel to the monastery as often as possible.
Well, that's about it, I suppose.

I met some nice folks (Karma Kagyu practitioners actually) in the 'burbs of Calgary some years back. That was a very positive experience. There's a lot to like about Calgary anyway...Karma Tsewang wrote:Hello all.
