Re: Who is included in the Sangha in which we take refuge in

so, are you saying that for the purpose of taking Refuge while doing any sadhana I should abandon purevision and for few minutes pretend to see my vajra brothers and sisters as well as other sentient beings as ordinary ? Yes. As far as pretend, it is your pure vision that is pretend, and no...

Re: Who is included in the Sangha in which we take refuge in

I think Buddas have no problem with paying respect one another including taking refuge :))
Like Manjusri (who is in fact Buddha) paid respect to Buddha Shakyamuni

Re: Who is included in the Sangha in which we take refuge in

in my humble opinion it very much depends on your personal Dharma practice ... For example if you already do intensive yidam practice - you'd practice pure vision, in which all beings are Buddhas (Yidam) already, there is no impure or unworthy object of Refuge, everybody is perfect Buddha. Not when...

Re: Why Garchen Rinpoche meditates so much

I have similar story not about Kyabje Garchen Rinpoche but late Kyabje Tenga Rinpoche. I often find similarities in these two great masters and in this case, I remember many many years ago Tenga Rinpoche was accepting some new students and ask them to give them pictures and address. They were a litt...

Re: who is the Greatest master you have ever seen?

There is this interesting phenomena about HHDL. When you meet him close or observe in casual situation, he seems kind, nice, simple, humble monk. But when he is teaching Dharma or give empowerments then it is different story. I remember when first time I've received Kalachakra in Graz Austria 2002, ...

Re: Selling the dharma

Karinos, This is exactly what my wife and I do on a regular basis. Since we have a big house, we don't need to rent a meeting space. We have made a large shrine-room in our home that can fit 40-50 people when necessary. We pay for all the costs of getting the Teacher to our home and feeding and hou...

Re: Selling the dharma

Anyone can organize Dharma event, really .... 1. Invite less known Lama/Rinpoche to your country (who can use English at least) there are literally dozens or hundreds of teachers out there who'd appreciate chance to go abroad and teach, 2. Ask teacher not to bring assistants, most of them can do pre...

Re: Dzongsar Khyentse's Advice for Social Media

Re the humorous criticism: Yes, well that's one way of looking at it but maybe DJKR is trying to steer us to the middle ground! that is what I think privately - that his advice was rather wake up call for notorious FB spammers, not really set of rules to follow literally. maybe now some peo...
