Re: What to do with tsa tsas, and how to make them edible?
I made about a thousand tsa tsas and I am trying to figure out what to do with them. FPMT says you can put them in nature, but I've already had the issue of a dog nearly choking on one of the tsa tsas that I put in nature. I also put quite a few in the ocean, but I am concerned that a fish or other...

Re: practice withouth empowerment
Hey guys, past few weeks i have been quite frightened with the idea permanently breaking my connection with vajrayana because of what i did. I have done a practice around 5 or 6 times of which i thought i had the empowerment and permission, but then discovered that i do not have it. Now i'm afraid ...

Re: Dzogchen Community 24 Hour Global Chain
it is not the end of the world, just a sign of lazyness. real problem would be that there was people commited to do it and then didn't fulfilled the commitment. I'm assuming it must be people not doing as they promised. If they didn't have enough coverage of the whole 24 hours they would not have g...

Dzogchen Community 24 Hour Global Chain
I usually take part in the 24 hour global practices, but forgot the latest Guru Tragphur. Sadly, it seems I was not alone and the chain was not completed. Maybe a reminder for us all? This email arrived: ''Dear Vajra Family. We appreciate your participation in this Global Chain with the practice of ...

Thank you all for you replies. :-) Unfortunately it seems there was no mentioning of any specific sadhana during the empowerment. So I will try to email Garchen institute, however I doubt they will know. Thank you all very much. Try the Facebook Groups as they often know such things: https://www.fa...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
This statue looks like the Dharmapala Karnag Dorje. Nag Kanya is depicted with wings. You could find NK as KD & KD described as NK Yes, I wondered about the wings. A Nepali friend said that Naga Kanya is propitiated particularly for her ability to fly swiftly to help people. I'm guessing that just ...

She's very popular in shamanism and in Nepal but I don't recall...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu
Howdy folks, I posted a question in tantra talk on mala divination, specifically ChNNs booklet. If anyone here uses this regularly and would be willing to respond I’d be very grateful. Thanks :anjali: :anjali: There's a Youtube clip of ChNN explaining it, but I recall someone saying the booklet did...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
That sounds like a really bad idea. To us, maybe, but not to them, of course. Every culture will have its own idea how to deal with the spirits and deities and have their own perception of the nature of the virus. Animal sacrifice will be a feature in some rituals, for sure. We must do what we thin...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
Edit: With a different cultural perspective, Mongolian shamans are to kill sheep and burn the carcases as an offering to end the coronavirus epidemic. Hopefully too small scale to anger Mamos. That sounds like a really bad idea. To us, maybe, but not to them, of course. Every culture will have its ...

there is a text, divine blue water, in lotsawa house that maybe you'll like. but i think that for offering specific things one must be capable to adress the specific group since some things are liked by some but disliked by others; it's a bit more complicated. there are general things like medicine...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
What do you mean with "burnt substances"? Well, we burn substances ritually - incense and other materials for Riwo Sangcho, for example. And I was also thinking of burning flesh, such as cremation of corpses. It's a bit off topic, I know, but came to mind because of the current virus problems and t...

It is musk in particular, which nagas find toxic. Thinking of the current situation, do any incense or burnt substances annoy Mamos? What do you mean with "burnt substances"? Re: Which VPN do you use and why?
Whatever you use I think your own ISP can track your activity, as can the VPN provider and your antivirus provider, and your browser. Of course, some will claim they don't - until they get caught like Avast. I used Private Internet Access (PIA) but now don't bother and accept that there really is no...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
If burning incense with animal products such as musk annoys the Nagas, how should we regard butter-lamps? Butter being an animal product, I wondered. Burning chemical laden tea lights is probably not too wonderful either. It is musk in particular, which nagas find toxic. Thinking of the current sit...

Re: Dzogchen Community Naga Rite
Has anyone found out what can be used as a talisman in the naga rite? DS I asked but nobody was able to tell me. It can be anything that is blessed (empowered) with the practice. In the booklet it mentions Rinpoche left a kind of wooden board in Merigar West. Does anyone know about the origin of Ch...

The DC has a new 'Sangha' app giving events information etc.
In order to set it up you need an 'invitation code'.
If anyone knows it, please could you PM it to me, as the alternative of visiting a Centre is unlikely to be on my 'to do' list for some weeks.
