I couldn't figu...

Has anyone here had experience with wrestling away from the faith you grew up with?
Specifically, I grew up in a very conservative, Christian home and i've had quite a difficult time wrestling myself away from that belief system due to indoctrination. What helped you to completely remove yourself from yours and, do you think following Christianity creates negative karma for yoursel...

Re: Is there protective power in chanting Daimoku?
Sun, moon, star gods?? Just can't believe all that man. Lol. Can't blame you. Without the sun, are you? Without the agitation of the moon revolving around the Earth, do things turn out like this? Without stars, then what? These are functions of reality. One is hard pressed to deny their function. I...

I've heard stories of how chanting the Daimoku protects people from misfortune or at least, if there is misfortune, things tend to work out better. Thoughts?

Coëmgenu wrote:It was not yet the age of dharma-degeneration, so the practice prescribed by Nichiren for the "latter days of the law" was not necessary, at the time. I think that is an answer in-line with mainstream Nichiren thought, though I could always be (and frequently am) wrong.
