Re: Nechung Kuten Recognizes Yeye Omileye
Then why did the Nechung Kuten recognize this woman, Yeye Omileye as the Mamaki Emanation ? Do you think she hypnotized him ? (She is also a hypnotist) I remember Nebesky-Wojkowitz mentioning at some point in his famous book that sometimes oracles get bribed to provide a certain desired answer or t...

Re: Nechung Kuten Recognizes Yeye Omileye
As a general rule, anything or person that offers a distraction from the three trainings of the path— discipline (ṡīla), one-pointed concentration (samadhi), and wisdom (prajñā) — can also be regarded as a personification of Mara. Thus, how can a buddha offer distractions from the path of awakening...

Re: Nechung Kuten Recognizes Yeye Omileye
Sure it does, a buddha cannot manifest as a mara, for example. All the activities of a buddha are determined by a buddha”s prior path aspirations. I imagine that, if Buddhas emanate into the preta realm, they would do so in a form able to communicate Dharma to the pretas. I therefore assume that su...

Re: Guan Yin oracles?
What do you think about those mediums and oracles of Guan Yin? Do you mean the one in the video? I haven't watched the video yet. I know some a few who are very good at what they do. Not necessarily only those in the video. But rather all those who claim to be oracles for enlightened beings such as...

Guan Yin oracles?
What do you think about those mediums and oracles of Guan Yin? Are they faking taking trance and all that? Can an enlightened being really take possession of a medium just like an ordinary spirit? And if they can't, then what kind of entity masquerades there as Guan Yin? https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Astrological marks of a Dharma person
For all astrologers who frequent this board, which aspects of a natal chart would indicate, in your opinion, a person's inclination towards studying and practicing Dharma?

Re: Tantra in Sukhavati
Is it possible to pratice Tantra in sukhavati? If so, why bother to pratice in this life ? If not , why does TB has prayers to be reborn there ? Maybe kriya & charya. I doubt you could practice HYT in Sukhavati since you would need the red and white essences from your mother and father respectively...

Re: Mahayana and War
What difference would have that made in terms of outcome? Could of been a better outcome, he might of been able to save his whole or some of his clan from being slaughtered by using violent force. What would of happened if the states never declared with nazi germany? Can any buddhist in his or her ...

Re: Mahayana and War
It depends on your understanding the real situation of samsara. If you don't understand— you join in, pick sides, and go to three lower realms. This is called having a one-lifetime view. If I understand correctly, your place in samsara appears as a result of your karma, which derives from your inte...

Re: Mahayana and War
The Buddha sat on a hillside under a dead tree watching Kapilavastu being sacked and his relatives being enslaved by King Ajatasatru after having dissuaded Ajatasatru on an earlier occasion from invading. What we do in Mahāyāna in response to pure evil is keep our eyes open and act as witnesses. On...

Re: The regenerative potential of primordial state
First, is there such a thing and second if there is why is that whenever we ask for advice on our mundane worldly situation or on certain health issues we are advised, almost always, that we do the second best thing, tantric practice that is ? My question points towards something specific not just ...

Re: Pagan Deity Propitiation by Dharma Siblings
If you make offering to mundane deities you can reborn in their retinue. Something to avoid, we want to free from samsara. Brahma, god, bad spirits, good spirits, etc. Regarding mundane beings i would reccomend only make contact with beings who have and keep samaya, like local guardians. Who gave y...

Re: The Future
People have been saying whether one becomes a buddhist has something to do with the person's merit and karmic connection. So..I am wondering.... Buddhists and great masters have been liberating animals in huge number. Before being liberated, holy prayers, mantras and powerful aspirations have been ...

Re: Spirit attack
This spirit first appeared in the form of a westerner in Tibetan robes, telling me to stay away from old aged teachers. The first time it attacked me we spoke about Buddhism before it attacked. And in another dream it forced me to prostrate before it. Whatever it is, I believe it has some sort of c...

Re: Spirit attack
I'm very reluctant to be making this thread, but it feels like I have to as I have nowhere else to turn. For the past year or so I have been experiencing medical troubles. In recent months I have been having repetitive dreams of being attacked by a spirit. The spirit appears in many different guise...

Today, I incidentally stumbled upon this : https://www.la-croix.com/France/Alain-Delon-Je-quitterai-monde-sans-regrets-2018-01-11-1300905045 "I will leave this world without regret. Life has nothing worthwhile to offer me anymore. I've seen them all, done them all. But especially, I hate this [curre...
