Re: Commiphora wightii ,mukul, guggul resin

Wei Han,

Just looked up Lama Dawa Chodrak's ingredients for making a mother sang mixture and it does not include guggul. Sorry if I was mistaken.

Re: Commiphora wightii ,mukul, guggul resin

WeiHan, The incense is not for you; it's for the Guru(s) and Deities. Since the ingredients in Riwo Sangchod each have a reason for being there, good to get more. You can add a little to any other incense you'd like to offer as well as various flours. This includes sandalwood and guggul. This will m...

Re: Ngakpas everywhere!

According to one of my Teachers in Kham, there is a Jigme Lingpa ngakpa ordination that one person can only give to 13 others in their entire lifetime. That Teacher always wears the whole ngakpa kit. However, I know one of his Western students who asked for this ordination and then asked to be excus...

Re: Ngakpas everywhere!

Varis,

"There is an association between all white robes and yogis who have accomplishments in regards to tummo practice among Kagyupas."

I don't know anything about Kagyudpas, but, in Nyingma, it is the red and white zen associated with mastery of tummo.

Yagmort, In Jigme Lingpa's personal Guru yoga it says to visualize Him as: གོས་དཀར་མཐོན་མཐིང་ཟུར་ཕུད་ལྡན་པའི་རྩེརཿ

Re: Ngakpas everywhere!

IMO, the only ngakpa that matters is the one who actually has ngak. Even if one does have ngak, better to be a bay-pai naljor/hidden yogi in this day and age.

Re: Guru Puja

Have Narak Kongshak recited as many times as you can afford at www.mahasiddha.org. Go to their prayer requests page and scroll down their list of available pujas. If you specifically want to sponsor a Guru puja, another option would be to have the Dudjom Lama Chodpa done for you. But I don't believe...

Re: Refuge Name

"There is no dharma magic in the sounds of words, aside from mantras. Don’t know where you get that idea from but it’s not a thing in Buddhism." We're all so sure of ourselves and opinions. This is the obscuration of knowledge and it's so hard for all of us to eliminate. It's the very water we menta...

Re: What are you PERSONALLY doing about the coronavirus?

Because I was already in full-time practice, I can't say that Covid-19 has increased my practice time, but I have changed some of my practices around a bit in response to the coronavirus. I've added Donkun Drupai Nodjin Wangmo to my Protectors. I'm doing a lot of Mamo confession and fulfillment. I'v...

Need to see the context. 'bu is worm or insect. Drung can mean several pretty divergent things. That's why context is important.

Could mean "reverend lady/mother/female worm."

Re: Ability to Control the Weather

Tenma, Ordinary or common siddhi either A) directly help one or more suffering sentient beings or B) increase faith and devotion in one or more sentient beings. In many instances they do both. In some instances, the recipient does not know what actually happened. When employed by a Bodhisatva, they ...

Bone lineage is the lineage from one's father's side. Blood lineage is the lineage from one's mother's side. Abilities can be "inherited" or run on either side.

Re: Ability to Control the Weather

1. Being born into a ngakpa family with certain powers definitely helps. One of my Root Gurus, Lama Dawa Chodrak was born into a family that traced it's ngakpa lineage back to the time of Milarepa. I don't think that happens without a huge accumulation of merit. As a for instance of some sort of fam...

Re: Free Karmapa Black Pills Offered by Future Alchemy.com

Joe got a single Karmapa black pill from Steve Roth. Steve had been the 16th Karmapa's driver when He had visited Boulder, CO at the invitation of Trungpa Rinpoche. According to Steve, they had a close relationship, close enough that the Karmapa gave Steve a number of these pills. Joe convinced Stev...
