Mantra siddhi

What mantras are considered to grant accomplishment even outside of sadhana, I know Guru Rinpoches and Vajrayogini does, any others?

Re: What a buddhist tradition did you choose and why?

Hello, I'm looking for the right buddhist tradition for me and I can't decide, so pleas help me by answering to my question. Thank you for everything! This probably won't help but I'll answer anyway. I chose Dzogchen cause the guru's teach the unsurpassed upadesha, some of the yogis have long hair ...

Re: Finding Your Guru

It took nearly a year of me asking one teacher I have complete confidence in to formally accept me as his student, and he as my guru; and bestow on me the wang, lung and tri. Fascinating. May I ask what this process looked like? How often did you approach them? Did they actually say “no” for the fi...

Re: Precious Human Birth

I've heard meditation on precious human life and impermanence is what motivated Milarepa, omniscient Longchenpa and vidyādhara Jigme Lingpa etc. to make progress in the dharma.

Hi Meido,
I enjoy your postings on FB a lot
Your postings have a sense of refined humility.

But unfortunately I have seen other dharma teachers post stuff in a sort of boastful and flaunting manner.

I see even some teachers enjoy sharing their shrines, ritual implements and whatever activities they are engaged on online.

That's up to the Lama's judgement that one is asking.

Just my two cents.

Re: A Lesson.

And it is the case here. I learned more of the story from the mutual friend. The young man in the shop was one of a group given a particular teaching and were told clearly not to talk about their practice neither the one they had received or in general terms. This is far from unique in the Vajrayan...

Re: Sit-down with Dudjom Lineage Lama

Greetings All, I’ve been lurking the site for a while without posting — and quite enjoying myself doing so — Nice to see a place with such active discussion about the various forms of Mahāyāna practice. I have a sit-down arranged with a Dudjom Lineage-holder and I figured some of the savvier and we...

Hmm, ok.
I'm sure you'll find the answer you're looking.
Like I said, I just don't quite get where they fit into things. I guess I might as well just try them and see. They seem to serve the same purpose as Rushens.
Always the best way to discover something for oneself.

Re: Practices for recognition at the end of Guru Yoga book

Just a question about categorization/purpose of practices. There are these practices at the end of the Guru Yoga book such as "recognition through sensation" "recognition through clarity" etc. What are these practices for? Are they to be used as something like Rushens or Semdzins? How are they supp...

I think the most important lineage is the short lineage of Samantabhadra to ones root Guru to the disciple. Even better if ones root guru is a siddha. Of course it's important to respect the masters of legend that came before, even so, since it's ones root guru who gives this transmission all the pa...
